On Oct. 19, 2010, IBM announced DB2® 10. This latest release of DB2 delivers the most aggressive package of CPU savings and performance improvements from IBM in more than 20 years, and for the first time since 2001, IBM has offered skip release. With the increased cost of support software licenses, the launch of DB2 10 and the announcement of DB2 V8 end-of-service, many DB2 users are considering migration and need direction in planning the right migration strategy for their business
