Introduction
DB2 11 for z/OS continues to extend on DB2’s leadership in the areas of availability, scalability, and performance; while delivering several complimentary, extensible features. DB2 11 enhances the business analytics capabilities; introducing transparent archiving and improved exploitation of the IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator, and provides a simple faster method of migration that requires no application changes.
IBM are running a DB2 11 for z/OS Migration Planning Workshop to assist customers in the planning and executing of the migration to DB2 11, combined with this DB11 MPW is a hands on migration workshop where customers can migrate their own DB2 10 system to DB2 11 and test out features.
Objective
This workshop is a technical, hands-on workshop. You will leave this workshop with an understanding of the business value of DB2 11 and a deep knowledge of the technical features of DB2 11, which include:
