DB2 11 for z/OS continues to extend on DB2’s leadership in the areas of availability, scalability, and performance; while delivering several complimentary, extensible features. DB2 11 enhances the business analytics capabilities; introducing transparent archiving and improved exploitation of the IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator, and provides a simple faster method of migration that requires no application changes.

IBM are running a DB2 11 for z/OS Migration Planning Workshop to assist customers in the planning and executing of the migration to DB2 11, combined with this DB11 MPW is a hands on migration workshop where customers can migrate their own DB2 10 system to DB2 11 and test out features.

Objective

This workshop is a technical, hands-on workshop. You will leave this workshop with an understanding of the business value of DB2 11 and a deep knowledge of the technical features of DB2 11, which include:

• RBA / LRSN Expansion

• Transparent Archiving

This Proof of Technology is specifically targeted at Database Administrators, System Administrators, and DB2 Developers. Customers can enroll for either the first day or both days depending upon their interests.
